01Data controller
Personal data related to Who A-Meme I is processed by Callidus ("Callidus", "we") as data controller.
- Email: contact@callidus.digital
For questions and requests, contact us through the contact form on this site or email to contact@callidus.digital.
02What the game collects
To improve the game we collect anonymous usage and error data only:
- Gameplay events: game start and quit, hosting and joining rooms, match and round start and end, the game phase in which you left, connection error messages, end-of-game feedback, and which meme cards were played, discarded and how they scored.
- Technical information: operating system, CPU, graphics card, memory size, screen resolution, game version, game language, Steam beta branch, frame rate (FPS) and error logs from crashes.
- Identifiers: a random ID generated on your device and irreversibly hashed, plus random session and room IDs. These do not identify you as a real person.
03What we don't collect
- Your name, in-game nickname, Steam account or Steam ID, email address or location.
- Your IP address: our analytics provider discards it without storing it.
- Voice or text chat content.
In multiplayer, your nickname and character are shown to other players in the same room as part of the game; we do not store this on our servers. Purchases and Steam account data are processed by Valve (Steam) under its own privacy policy.
04Purpose and legal basis
We use the data to understand where players struggle or quit, fix connection problems and bugs, improve performance, and balance game content (questions and meme cards).
The legal basis is our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); Turkish KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)). We do not use the data for advertising, profiling or sale.
05Storage and transfers
Data is stored on our analytics provider's servers in the European Union. In transit it may pass through that provider's content delivery network subprocessor, strictly for the purposes above.
Data is kept for at most 1 year, and deleted sooner when no longer needed.
06How to opt out
In the game, open Settings > Display and uncheck "Send anonymous usage data". Nothing is sent afterwards and data waiting to be sent is deleted from your device. Clearing the game's saved settings resets the random ID on your device.
07Your rights
Under the GDPR and KVKK you may request access, correction or deletion of your data and object to its processing. Because the data does not directly identify you, we may ask you to write from the device you play on and, if possible, mention the date of the issue.
Send requests through the contact form on this site or email to contact@callidus.digital; we reply within 30 days.
08Children
The game is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
09Changes
If the data the game collects changes, we update this policy; the last update date is shown at the top of the page.
